BS from Waseda University
Kevin has consistently engaged in business investment (M&A) and venture investment at Japanese general trading companies, PE firm of securities company, and major conglomerate in China. He particularly specializes in investment that maximize synergy creation between Japan and China companies. By utilizing the network and business resources in both countries, together with his vigorous hands-on value-up style post- investment, Kevin has been highly appreciated by the portfolio companies. He also has experience in in the establishment and business management of startup ventures.
2006 Marubeni Corporation
Involved in a total of 6 transactions, totally valued more than 30 billion yen in cross-border M&A projects in materials & paper pulp fields as the general controller of the business division. He was also in charge of the post-investment monitoring and hands-on operations of the Chinese portfolio companies.
2009 Daiwa SMBC Capital (China Fund) Managing Director
Kevin played a key role in setting up Daiwa Securities Group’s first RMB fund (6 billion yen), and was in charge of the fund’s investment and management as the person of responsibility. He has invested in ventures of a wide variety, such as electronics, industry machine, cold chain logistics, pharmaceutical, eco- technology, and achieved remarkable performance through IPO and trade sales exit.
2015 Fujian Sunner Group Assistant to group president
Responsible for Group’s principle investment, M&A and business development of Japan market. Led the acquisition of a New Zealand meat processing company and investment in a Taiwanese F&B venture business. He also supported group’s listed subsidiary’s 400 million USD new share placement to KKR PE fund.

Managing Partner Minjie, Xiao
BS of Wuhan University, Ph.D. of University of Tsukuba
Xiao came to Japan in 1988 as a government-sponsored international student of the Ministry of Education, and obtained a doctoral degree from the University of Tsukuba in 1994. Xiao then pursued his career as economist, conducting research and analysis on Chinese economy and financial markets for many years at Daiwa Research Institute and SMBC Nikko Securities. He also worked as management and marketing specialist for an independent asset management company specializing in Japanese stocks.

Xiao also serves as commentator for TV Tokyo’s economic program “Morning Satellite.” He ranked 5th in the Economist category in the Nikkei Veritas Popularity Ranking (2010).

Subsequently CUI joined China’s major investment company FOSUN GROUP’s Japan office, responsible for PE investment in industries such as consumer goods, theme parks, real estate, and others. He is one of the few professionals who is well versed in Japanese, English and Chinese, and has combined investment experience in Japan, China and Southeast Asia

Special Advisor Katsutoshi Takeda
Former Managing Executive Officer and General Representative of China, Mitsubishi Corporation
Katsutoshi graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo in 1966. Fluent in Chinese, he has been the leader of Mitsubishi Corporation’s Chinese business for many years. He held positions of chief director of Shanghai office, Beijing office, and the general manager of the construction machinery department of Mitsubishi’s headquarter. He was appointed the president of China in 2001. Since April 2003, he was promoted to Managing Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Corporation. He also served as president of the Japan Chamber of Commerce in China during his days in the country. Currently, he is an advisor (former president) of the Japan-China Friendship Center.
In May 2019, he was appointed Special Advisor to AIS CAPITALLimited.
